When this happens, it’s usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it’s been deleted.The 2022 fluke season opened with a bang at Captain Mikes this Monday. Gino, Justin, Jalen, Derek and Alainna racked up 11 fish in total (shown above).
Other rental and slip customers reported limiting out on flounder, mainly fishing in the back bay. One angler was targeting fluke and ended up catching a 30lb bass in 3 foot of water!
It’s safe to say the season opener for fluke was not only productive but eventful too.
In case you missed it, for the first time in New Jersey fluke fishing history a slot limit was added. Here’s what else changed since last season:
Many anglers were up in arms over the recent changes in regulations. While it’s impossible to appeal to every angler, the change in regulations seem to favor the back bay angler opposed to ocean based anglers.
Apparently these changes won’t be a problem for those fishing the Great Bay. The weather forecast is providing plenty of windows in the next ten days.
